Specialized Professional Staff

To ensure that our clients receive the best possible representation and recovery, our firm includes three highly specialized staff members: a consulting physician and nurse, and a pilot/aviation expert. These highly-experienced professionals assist our attorneys and staff with the complex issues and information required by our cases.

Saul Weinstein, M.D. - Consulting Physician

A General and Vascular Surgeon, Dr. Weinstein has forty years experience in surgery and emergency medicine. He reviews cases, analyzes medical records, works with consulting doctors and tutors our attorneys in the complex medical issues involved in a wide variety of cases. Dr. Weinstein is also a former Air Force flight surgeon, FAA medical examiner, and multi-engine pilot with over 7,000 hrs. This background makes him a valuable consultant in the firm's military medical malpractice and accident cases.

Marleen Williams - Consulting Legal Nurse

Marleen Williams is a Legal Nurse Consultant and has been an R.N. for over 35 years. Her understanding of hospital policies and procedures is invaluable in evaluating our clients' records. Additionally she conducts medical research and identifies expert witnesses to consult on cases. She works tirelessly to educate the attorneys and staff on medical procedures. Working in concert with Dr. Weinstein, she also participates in interviewing potential clients and assessing the viability of cases. Ms. Williams is also an experienced pilot. She received her pilot's license in 1983 and is instrument rated. For a number of years she has been active in the Annual Great Southern Air Race, a handicapped speed race.

Jim Ussery - Firm Pilot & Aviation Expert

James Ussery graduated from John Marshall University with a law degree, but chose to pursue his first love - Aviation - as his career. He holds an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (ATP) for both single and multi-engine ratings, and has over 15,000 flight hours.

His experience covers airline, corporate and contract pilot operations.

He also holds an airframe and power plant mechanics certificate (A&P).

He frequently flies our attorneys, witnesses and clients safely and comfortably to their destination in the firm's plane. Mr. Ussery has a long association with our firm and, in addition to acting as chief pilot, he participates extensively in evidence management and aircraft accident analysis.
